Jogha Luxury Sportswear has been created for modern fashion-conscious women who do not want to compromise on technical performance or style when it comes to their sports wardrobe.
The start of the ultimate Badass woman era
The idea behind Jogha all started in 2014 when founder, Aranka van der Voorden, went to the gym to sweat off some stress from work. She was confined by gym clothes that didn't really make her feel like she was able to work out to her fullest or look and feel her best. This was when she decided to make her vision happen for all of the other women out there. She wanted to enable other women to realise their uniqueness and strength in their ability to succeed in sports, health and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Aranka carefully selected men and women to create a team that could turn this vision into reality along with her. It was the beginning of the ultimate Badass woman era, the woman that can do it all.
Innovation, prints and Jogha Girls
Jogha was founded through listening to the demands of a community of active women and putting their needs into a sportswear brand. With unique tailoring and state-of-the-art, high-end fabrics that are lightweight, breathable and comfortable, Jogha Sportswear was born. Jogha Sportswear is tailor-made with a cut that lifts, supports and sculpts the body for a perfect fit and a flawless look. Each piece is made to support and streamline the physique for comfort and ease of movement, whilst prioritizing a stylish look.
Our first collection showcased seven different patterns, each one designed to empower women to achieve their full potential. There are so many different types of women out there, and Jogha wants to provide each of them with exactly what they need. By combining the different prints, women have the opportunity to create their own unique look, in and out of the gym.
It has turned out that we tackled something bigger: Jogha Sportswear is recognizable, something that women can identify with. On a personal level and as part of a community represented by Jogha Girls.
If we had our way, the production of Jogha would not do any harm to the environment. Unfortunately, creating a product and introducing it into the consumer market does inevitably leave behind an ecological footprint. Because of that, it’s only natural that we try our best to make use of sustainable techniques in our production. This is something that we do in collaboration with our overseas production factory. In previous collections, we’ve used the revolutionary DryDye technology that was made available to us by the factory. We’ve also created products that make use of 100% organic cotton or was made with natural rubber. Besides sustainable techniques, we also find it very important that the factory personnel all get a fair pay for the hard work that they put in.
